Because of the way the Pikachu and Eevee costumes are designed, they can’t host a full hour of animation on their own. Since Pokémon characters don’t really speak (beyond repeating their names), it isn’t possible for them to lead the entire session by themselves.

For a full 1-hour animation, Pikachu or Eevee must be paired with one of our other animators, who will take the lead while the Pokémon participates throughout the activities. Most families choose Ash as the host, but you’re welcome to select any available character to guide the experience.
